My simple greeting card features a simple avian illustration inspired by the practice of Japanese sumi-e art.
The Egret drawing was originally created in sumi-e ink with a Japanese calligraphy brush on very delicate rice paper.
This small, artful A6 card is perfect for when you want to reach out to someone.
The black and white greeting card is great for a friendly note or an elegant birthday card. It can also be a cute good luck card for a birder or art lover.
The card is left blank inside so you can add you own personal message.
My black and white brush ink illustration is printed in the UK on a 325gsm uncoated Italian gesso card. With a soft-white hue and a hammered finish it holds the delicate drawing beautifully.
The paper stock is FSC certified – so this card will not be contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests.
